Matthew Hayden is a former Australian International Cricketer. His career spanned fifteen years. Hayden was one of the most powerful and aggressive left-handed opening batsman,known for his ability to score quickly at both test and one day levels. Hayden holds the record for the highest score made by an Australian batsman in test(380). His Innings of 201 against India in chennai remains the second highest score by an Australian in India. He formed one of the most prolific opening partnership in world Test cricket for Australia with Justin Langer,and in ODI with Adam Gilchirst. Upon his retirement, in January 2009, Hayden Test average was 50.7, he had scored the second most runs in test cricket by an opening batsman, and was equal 6th(with Jacques Kallis) on the all time list for test centuries. Hayden holds the record for the highest individual test score by an opening batsman in test history(380). Hayden retired from all forms of cricket in september 2012. Hayden who is involved in the Australian cricket Hall Of Fame last year had fracture under the throat while he suffered a head injury. Hayden was gone for surfing with his son josh. After the injury, Hayden had to undergo similar things like MRI, CT scan. Even after his injury, Matthew Hayden said that he will go back to surfing because the sea gives and takes it, so he will go back. Right now he is recovering from injury.
