Belfast is a capital city of Northern Ireland,on the banks of river lagan on the east coast of Ireland.It is the largest city in Northern Ireland ,and second largest on the Island.It has a population of 333,871 in 2015.It was the birthplace of RMS TITANIC,which famously struck an iceberg and sunk in year 1912.Belfast city suffered greatly in troubles,and in 1970s and 1980s was the one of the worlds dangerous cities.In the 21st centuary,the city has seen a sustained period of calm,free from the intense political violence of former years and sustained economic and commercial growth.Belfast remains a centre for industry as well as arts,higher education, buissnes and law and is the economic engine of northern Ireland.But less of the people know that the Belfast city is established on a river whose name was farset river....
The city is named Belfast because on the name of the river Farset.The city is developed because of the the river farset,But now a days it silently blow under the ground of Belfast city.There are many shops in the high street area now, but once a time ships were go through in these routes in year 1600s on the river farset.
At that time many alcohol factories,clothes factories and many more factories established beside the river farset .In 1800s farset river played an important role for belfast city to become biggest manufacturer of clothes in the world.The wastages which came out from the clothes and other factories made farset a dirty river,in 1900s farset river is fully polluted and smelling badly so the commisnery of belfast city ordered to cover the farset river and the farset river is covered with 1 million bricks.Now-a-days the farset river silently blow under the ground of the Belfast city but less of the people know about that river...
